Joyful holiday memories are fun to share with family members. Don’t let this holiday season pass without sharing a favorite holiday memory or two with one or more family members. Select a specific moment or story to tell... one that can begin with the words, "I remember one time…;" or "Once when I was___years old, (…and then share your memory)." Keep it fairly brief; make it real; and enjoy telling it!
Sharing an authentic piece of personal history with those you love is a fantastic gift, and better yet, it opens the door for others to share their best memories with you. It’s also interesting to hear a story you may actually remember, but from someone else’s point of view. Pretty soon you’ll all know each other even better than before ….and you’ll have something extraordinary to take home with you when the party’s over. Enjoy!

Merry Christmas to you!
We'll try this at our house...
and I voted for "Enthusiasm gets me into trouble" based only on my FEELINGS as I read the piece. This probably says more about me than her, but I thought I'd take a stab at it.
I see now, this is THINKwriting, not FEELwriting. heh.
Captainwow,
Love your comments - and I didn't mention this in the post - but the best way to get the holiday memory thing going is to tell your own memory first...seems obvious, I suppose - but too often I think we fall in the trap of asking others what they remember (or said or want or whatever) rather than putting our own ideas out there first - no matter the topic.
Your last comment makes me smile.. and THANK YOU for voting!
Absolutely!!! I had the opportunity to do this just last evening. It is interesting and yet joyful to hear another family member's recollection of your own memory, completely different from your own. Definitely gets a conversation going.
Merry Christmas to All
Maybe I will try this with my family.
Concerning Rosemary's memory, after much internal deliberation, I finally voted for "trouble follows me". It was between that and "enthusiasm is dangerous".
Have a Merry Christmas!!
And I forgot, I also voted enthusiam could be dangerous. Notice I changed the wording of is dangerous to could be dangerous. Can't wrap my arms around enthusiam is dangerous. Voted this way mainly by the process of elimination for I didn't feel right about the other choices.
