My parents entered me in a talent show. I wore glasses, no music, and I won. I think it was 5th place in this state talent contest. I got a whipping the same day…my mother whipped me for something – I don’t know, [going on] one of the rides. Destroyed my ego completely. I feel like a teenager again after seeing the clip of Elvis singing "Heartbreak Hotel." Thanks! I'm thinking that after being punished on the day he won the contest, Elvis decided he couldn't please Mama, so he'd just do things his way.
I voted for # 3 "I'm All Shook Up" From winning the talent show to a whipping must have truly put his ego in a turmoil. And isn't that how Elvis lived his life anyway?Shook Up. Pretty boy with amazing talent.
